A RECORD OF GRAND PRIX & VOITURETTE RACING VOLUME 7 (1960-1964) – 3rd EDITION

£80.00

***New 3rd edition now available***

This volume covers the 1960 to 1964 period. 1960 was the final season of the 2.5 litre formula, which was replaced by a 1500cc limit. This was much derided when first announced but it lead to large fields and excellent racing, thanks to the availability of engines from Coventry Climax and BRM. Formula One racing thrived with many non Championship races which, particularly in the UK, drew fields that matched those of championship races.

The new Edition runs to 352 pages and includes all the latest information that the Register has. This includes extensive research into the identities of Cooper T45/51 cars and revisions to previous identities for Lotuses, thanks to the help of Lotus historian Michael Oliver. Rob Young has contributed much additional information on South African races and the book is now fully indexed with race dates for each driver and car

As usual, for the majority of races, the book contains full statistics including entry lists with starting numbers and chassis numbers of cars. A starting grid and full results are also included together with a brief description of the race. All races run to Formula One, Two and Intercontinental Formula regulations, however minor, have been included.
